Some things you could do with bells are: paying of mortgage, you could also buy things with bells from Tom Nook and Timmy!
Make sure you have a shovel before you want to plant something! First dig a hole, then place what you want to grow, then cover up the hole! Now just wait for your plant/tree to grow!
You first start off with a tent that you live in, but who wants to live in a tent? Well thats why you should pay off your mortgage sooner! (Look at the section how to earn bells to find easy ways to earn bells!) For your first home/tent you can pay off with miles, but for the next homes you unfortunately have to pay the mortgage with bells.
Go to resident service tent and talk to timmy (The small Racoon) Then select option I want to sell, after select all the items you want to sell
Press the Minus sign on your nintendo switch and then select save and quit. Make sure not to close animal crossing or power off your nintendo switch while doing that!
To visit others islands, and visit your friends!
